I'm a Washington Post subscriber, so I have a limited amount of "gift articles" per month. Since this one is relevant to the Eastern Sierra, here you go!

Some of the tips were surprising ("You can be TOO hydrated" - the importance of salts when exerting oneself). It's a pretty solid article for those of you who will be out hiking this 4th of July week.
